To ensure the transparency of our operations and funding, every month we publish a financial report, showing how much we have received in donations and what we spent them on. The Internal Affairs Ministry wants to take over the Foundation of Obywatele RP (Citizens of Poland).
The Ministry has submitted an application to suspend the Board of the Foundation Free Citizens of Poland and appoint a compulsory administrator. This could result in a paralysis of the operations of the Foundation which enable fundraising and purchase of equipment needed for the activities of Obywatele RP.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs is accusing the Foundation that it is not fulfilling its statutory tasks, and that the Board is encouraging violation of law. It is accusing the Foundation, inter alia, of insulting the President of the Republic of Poland, in spite of the fact that the Prosecutor has already dropped the proceedings in this case.
The Regional Court for Warsaw-Mokotów will consider the Ministry’s application on September 10, 2018. If it consents to a compulsory administrator, this would mean that the Ministry will take control of the Foundation, its assets (rented office premises, servers with the website, telephones, sound equipment, bank accounts), and even copyrights to the Obywatele RP logo.

We run the obywatelerp.org website containing information about our activities and with commentaries on what is happening. It is a site you already like visiting. We now want to move further! We want to create a studio that would prepare credible news information and develop an archive of film materials from the events in which we are participating. Under the current socio-political circumstances, credible information is simply indispensable.
Our priority is to ensure legal assistance for individuals who are being persecuted by the police for their civic actions. There are a few hundred of these individuals. They are called in for interrogations, court cases are being held against them. We are involved in arranging legal assistance for each and every one. We do not leave anyone to themselves.
We also need the means to organize our actions – printing of leaflets and banners, the sound systems equipment etc.
